Verana Health Appoints Healthcare Industry Veteran Sujay Jadhav to Chief Executive Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 17, 2021 – Verana Health—a healthcare technology and analytics company transforming multi-specialty clinical data into real-world evidence—today announced health sciences industry veteran and former Oracle executive Sujay Jadhav as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Verana Health also announced the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Marc Berger as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Verana Health co-founder and outgoing American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) CEO David W. Parke II, MD as Executive Chairman.
Jadhav joins Verana Health with more than 20 years of experience as a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and global business leader. Most recently, Jadhav was the Global Vice President, Health Sciences Business Unit at Oracle, where he ran the organization’s product and engineering teams. Before Oracle, Jadhav was the CEO of cloud-based clinical research platform goBalto, where he oversaw the acquisition of the company by Oracle. Jadhav is also a former executive for the life sciences technology company Model N, where he helped to oversee its transition to a public company.
Jadhav’s extensive experience in healthcare technology and his work with public and private companies provide a solid foundation to take Verana Health into its next growth phase. Under Jadhav’s leadership, Verana Health is well-positioned for expansion by advancing clinical trial capabilities, data-as-a-service offerings, medical society partnerships, and data enrichment.

Berger is a seasoned digital health executive who has held leadership positions at Flatiron Health and Medidata. In his new role, he will help elevate Verana Health’s commitment to provider and patient communities by advancing the value proposition for contributing point-of-care data to Verana Health’s proprietary population health data engine.
