Miki Kapoor is President and Chief Executive Officer of Verana Health. With two decades of diverse experience exclusively in healthcare – in operations, finance, strategy and policy – Miki has a notably broad perspective on the U.S. healthcare system. Prior to joining Verana, Miki was CEO of Tea Leaves Health, a SaaS healthcare data company he scaled over the course of three years (acquired by Welltok). He was previously the President of Everyday Health, a publicly-traded company he directed toward utilizing large-scale data for effective patient-physician communication (acquired by J2 Global). Miki also served as Head of the Global Payer and Provider Division for IMS Health, Executive Vice President of Health Systems for the Clinton Foundation while living in Africa and India, and has in-depth experience advising healthcare executives for ten years at McKinsey & Company and on Wall Street.
Miki holds an MBA and MPH from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Fulbright Fellow, formerly a visiting professor at two universities, and serves on the boards of several healthcare organizations.

Marie-Eve Piche, Verana’s Chief Financial Officer, has nearly two decades of financial management experience in public and fast-growing private companies. Marie-Eve was previously the CFO of Pymetrics and built the financial strategy and capabilities that enabled a successful Series B fundraising. She also served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at AppNexus, where she helped grow revenue by more than six times during her tenure and was on the team that drove the $1.6B acquisition by AT&T. She began her career at General Electric, holding key financial roles at NBC Sports and Telemundo.

Marc Berger is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Verana Health, where he is responsible for all of the company’s legal functions, including corporate, privacy, commercial contracting, health law, and intellectual property activities. Marc was previously General Counsel at Flatiron Health, where he was a member of the four-person team that negotiated the $2.1B acquisition by Roche. Prior to Flatiron, Marc was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Medidata Solutions, where he had global responsibility for negotiating agreements with life science companies and partners for Medidata’s clinical trial technology and service offerings.

Nitin Karandikar leads the Technology and Data team, which is responsible for development of the data technology platform, data science algorithms and AI models at Verana Health. Our secure cloud-based platform and advanced algorithms enable Verana to implement cutting-edge real-world evidence (RWE) studies and subscription data products based on clinical health data. Nitin has over 25 years of technical and management experience in software development. Before Verana, he held senior technical leadership positions at a number of health technology companies, including DeVero and Intuit Health. Prior to that, he was VP of Engineering at Epocrates, an early pioneer in building mobile health technology apps at the point of care.

Hylton Kalvaria is Senior Vice President of Commercial and Strategic Partnerships, leading Verana’s major partnership initiatives with medical associations, life science companies, and regulatory bodies. Hylton joins Verana from Flatiron Health, where he founded, built and led the West Coast business, representing half of Flatiron’s commercial activity. In that capacity, Hylton’s team led the design and execution of Flatiron’s first regulatory-grade projects intended for influential stakeholder audiences, including the FDA. Hylton previously held a variety of roles at Genentech and was appointed to lead a CEO-sponsored initiative focused on identifying emerging sources of real world data and utilizing those data across the Genentech organization, an initiative that led to Roche’s initial investment in Flatiron.

Chet Kumar is Vice President of Life Science, Commercial for Verana Health, working with medical device and pharmaceutical companies, physicians, and other healthcare stakeholders to bring together medical knowledge and data science to accelerate innovation. Before joining Verana, Chet held numerous marketing and sales VP positions at DigiSight and VisionCare Ophthalmic Technologies working with enterprise health systems, physician practices, and payers. At VisionCare, he advanced clinical development and commercialization of the first-ever implantable medical device for age-related macular degeneration, including gaining novel CPT coding from the AMA and Medicare coverage across all regional contractors after FDA approval. Chet previously held positions at Oculex Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Allergan) and Incyte Pharmaceuticals.

Don Butler brings several decades of sales and business leadership experience to Verana Health, where he serves as Vice President of Life Science, Commercial. Don joins Verana from Outcome Health, where he served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Research Solutions. Prior to Outcome Health, Don was Senior Vice President of Global Enterprise Sales at Medidata Solutions, where he led the global sales team responsible for selling clinical and data analytics solutions that support over half of the world’s clinical trials. He previously held sales leadership roles for Oracle Health Sciences and Siebel Life Sciences.

Karim Damji serves as Head of Product at Verana Health, where he is responsible for leading product strategy and development. Karim, a product veteran with a 20-year track record of success, has launched some of the most notable solutions in healthcare and technology. He most recently led product, technology and marketing at Saama, where he launched solutions for the life science industry including the award-winning Life Science Analytics Cloud. Prior to Saama, Damji led software strategy and product at Plantronics. He also served in leadership positions spanning business development, product management, sales, and network engineering at Cisco, and as founding head of product at Vocera Communications, MobileIron and DiVitas.
